Last season I was so pleasantly surprised by the amount of you that asked to come to the field to pick your own blooms. Whether by email, Instagram, or through the phone, many of you found a way to get a hold of me and venture out on the prairie. I don’t know why I was so surprised, knowing how magical the field was to me. Many of you came and soaked in all the wonder of the farm, picked your blooms, took photos, and found some joy out in the rows. Sharing the field with you was one of my absolute most favorite parts of the farm last season. It was the best.

With all that said, I knew that I wanted to make “You Picks” much more accessible for you all in the 2025 season. So this listing is for just that! I can’t wait to see new faces, say hello to those I met last year, and enjoy the garden with you.

You pick details:

  • Choose your preferred date and time on this listing along with the quantity of attendees you plan to have. You can add more people if needed before the date nd please note that the field will be open to other parties though will unlikely be more than a few.

  • Once your date arrives, you’ll find your way down to Wasta. The field is located at 46 B Street, Wasta SD 57791. Parking is available in front of the field on B Street

  • Upon arrival I’ll be there to greet you with buckets and snips. Each $25 fee includes your bucket, a field “how to” from me showing you ways of cutting and caring for each flower variety, enough flowers to fill your bucket, and a minimum of one hour to pick. Please note snips are not included and must be returned after picking.

  • As far as how long you’d like to enjoy the field, I am very flexible. Evening picks will be easy for spending extra time as the weather will be fair. Morning picks will continue to heat up as the hours pass so just keep that in mind.

  • The time options of 9am and 6pm are for reasons of heat and personal availability. If you need a bit of extra time to get here, no worries. Just let me know in advance.

  • I have a restroom in our home you are welcome to use if needed at anytime.

  • Last but not least, this listing is non refundable, however if unforeseen circumstances such as emergency, weather, etc. occur I will be happy to reschedule your date to make sure you can come and enjoy.
